PEARL WITH YOU: A True Blessing for Veterans
On April 24, 2025, I was welcomed into PEARL WITH YOU, a transitional housing program for homeless veterans—and from that day forward, I’ve felt nothing but acceptance and support. This place is more than shelter; it’s a second chance. A place where veterans can regroup, rebuild, and bounce back with dignity.
The staff here deserve the highest praise. They are here with purpose, passion, and compassion. I want to personally commend Mrs. Hall, Mrs. Whitney, Mrs. Nikki, Mrs. Hill, Mr. Chris, Mr. Paul, and especially Mrs. Gunn—each one has played a part in making my journey feel safe and supported.
There are rules, yes—but they’re simple and designed to keep the environment secure and peaceful. If a veteran follows them, their time here can be not only productive but stress-free.
The accommodations are comfortable and clean. Veterans share an apartment, creating a sense of community, and the atmosphere truly feels like home. We have access to a laundry room, TV room, barbecue grills, and regular holiday events to bring us together in celebration and fellowship.
Transportation is available, and we receive three meals a day. There are even donations from local churches and organizations that uplift us in ways that go beyond the physical.
I thank God for leading me to PEARL WITH YOU. I’m honored to be part of this community and deeply appreciative for the doors that were opened to me.

A Testimony of Hope and Transformation:
Hello to my fellow veterans, the VA, and anyone reading this,
My name is Ken Toth, and I served in the USAF from 1978 to 1985, honorably discharged. In 2023, I found myself at a very low point in life. Struggling with my mental health, battling depression, and facing a cocaine addiction, my life had fallen apart. It got to the point where I attempted suicide three times. I had reached the end of my rope, and I knew I needed help to survive.
I needed to get off the streets, find a safe place, and most importantly, find professional care and love. But I didn’t feel I had a family to turn to until I arrived at P.E.A.R.L. With You.
From the moment I walked through the doors, Mrs. Adrian, Ms. Whitney, Mrs. Robin, and the rest of the incredible staff welcomed me with open arms. They provided everything I needed to begin my journey toward recovery—care, love, and, above all, support. I spent 10 months at P.E.A.R.L., and during that time, they helped me get my life back on track.
After completing my time there, I was ready to move forward. I secured a HUD-VASH voucher and was excited to have my own place. However, things didn’t go as planned. I relapsed, turning back to drugs and alcohol, and I ultimately lost my apartment. I had to start over, and I knew I needed a place that would truly help me, a place where I wouldn’t be judged.
That’s when P.E.A.R.L. With You came to my mind again. I reached out, and they welcomed me back without hesitation. The P.E.A.R.L. staff is not just a team—they are my family. They offer grace, understanding, and unconditional support. They have been my Angels from God, and I love them deeply.
Thanks to P.E.A.R.L., I am clean, happy, and ready to build my future. I know that, in time, I will find my permanent home, but until then, I’m forever grateful for the family I’ve found in P.E.A.R.L. With You.
To Mrs. Adrian, Ms. Whitney, Mrs. Robin, and the entire staff—you are my "Top Gun" people.
